Creative Visualisation: Everything You Need To Know

When people think of creative visualisation, they often think of sitting in a quiet room, picturing what they want to happen in their lives. While this is one way to use creative visualisation, there are many other ways to get the most out of this powerful tool.

In this post, we’ll explore everything you need to know about creative visualisation, including how to get started and some tips for using it effectively. So whether you’re looking to manifest a new car or just want to feel more confident in yourself, creative visualisation can help!

What Is Creative Visualisation?

Visualisation is a divine ability that allows us to manifest our dreams and desires. It helps us to manifest the image in our minds of what we wish to have, experience or become. By using the power of our mind’s eye we can bring any vision that we desire to life.

Through visualisation, we take the first steps in moving from the conscious into the subconscious and manifesting our dreams and desires into reality. With this manifestation tool, we can create a new outlook on life and attract abundance, joy and prosperity.

Creative visualisation is a great way to encourage personal growth and an effective method for connecting to the divine, unconditional love and abundance of the universe. When we visualise, we open ourselves up to limitless possibilities and our potential, leading us down a spiritual path of transformation and enlightenment.

As we tap into our higher knowing through visualisation, we can bring more joy and balance into our lives. The reality that you want can be yours – if you can picture it you can attract it!

The Creative in Creative Visualisation

Visualisation is creative because it helps us move beyond the “logical” into the realm of possibility. By using visuals, we can work with our intuition and imagination to explore ideas, thoughts, and emotions.

Visualisation also has a spiritual component, as it allows us to gain insight into our inner world and strengthen our connection to the creative forces of the universe.

Manifestation is born out of creation and our imagination is one of the most powerful tools that we have at our disposal. It is our thoughts and the images in our minds that influence our vibration and our ability to manifest the things that we want.

It is through this process that we begin to create. Creative visualisation is a method that helps you to unlock your creative power and attract your dreams in a conscious and deliberate way.

Why Is Visualisation Powerful?

It’s clear to see why creative visualisation is such a firm favourite. It allows us to tap into our inner wisdom and create beautiful visions that can help us achieve success and fulfilment. With visualisation, we can propel ourselves towards our goals with ease.

When we use visualisation, our minds are able to form a bridge between the material and spiritual realms. Each time we choose to focus on a specific image we shift our point of attraction toward that very thing, manifesting it in the process.

It’s also a powerful tool for gaining clarity and understanding exactly what we want to attract. When we visualise we begin to build the reality that we desire in our minds. With each detail that we use to create our ideal world, we shape our current reality to reflect our visions.

How Do You Practise Visualisation?

To visualise all you have to do is close your eyes and imagine the future you want to see. Go within and see yourself as if you already have what you want. Feel the emotion connected to it. You can also use your sense to make it feel real (more on this later!).

This is a powerful tool for manifesting your dreams. With visualisation, you can focus on a specific outcome or an ideal situation. It is important to use this technique with an open heart and a clear mind.

Visualise the positive outcome you want and feel into it with gratitude. This will help to open your heart and spirit to all the possibilities of your future.

When you practise visualisation, try to let go of any thoughts or judgments that might come up and just accept the image in your mind. Remember that this is a practice of the power of intention and you can manifest any outcome you desire with persistence, focus, and commitment.

Creative Visualisation Stories

If you’re the type of person that needs evidence and anecdotes when manifesting then hearing personal stories can help you to believe in the power of creative visualisation. One powerful story is by Lindsey Vonn, an American former World Cup alpine ski racer.

The champion athlete credits her success to visualisation, claiming that it boosts her performance and gives her an edge.

“I always visualise the run before I do it. By the time I get to the start gate, I’ve run that race 100 times already in my head, picturing how I’ll take the turns.” she says.

While she practises her visualisation she also shifts her weight on her feet as if to simulate her skiing down the course. She also practises specific breathing patterns that she uses during the race.

Vonn said, “Once I visualise a course, I never forget it. So I get on those lines and go through exactly the run that I want to have.”

Another fan of visualisation is Spice Girl extraordinaire and fashion designer, Victoria Beckham. Posh Spice admits to visualising herself dating her now husband, David Beckham prior to meeting her “It’s about creative visualisation,” Victoria said.

She also credits creative visualisation to her success in the fashion world. “I had a dream many years ago and I focused and worked hard and I believed in creative visualisation.”

Visualisation Techniques

Hoping and praying can only take you so far. If you want to change your reality, it’s important to go beyond dreaming and use the power of visualisation.

Visualisation techniques have been used for centuries by athletes, business leaders, and anyone else looking to create positive change in their lives. Picture what you want and make it happen, there is science behind the power of visualisation.

If you’re looking to manifest your dreams, try out one of these visualisation techniques and see how it goes!

Creative Visualisation: pink bubble technique

The Pink Bubble Method

Coined by the legendary Shakti Gawain and featured in her book, Creative Visualisation, the Pink Bubble Method is a tried and tested technique that can achieve instant manifestations. This is surprisingly powerful so be prepared to receive exactly what you have been asking for.

Here’s how to do it:

Find a quiet space, settle down somewhere and close your eyes. Make sure that you are comfortable and at ease.

Go within by focusing on your breathing, taking notice of every breath that you draw in and out of your body.

As you do so, feel yourself relaxing – going deeper and deeper into a trance-like state.

Now, imagine something that you would like to manifest. See it unfolding as though it is happening in the present moment.

Make this image as clear as possible and really feel it!

Then, surround your fantasy in a pink bubble as though your vision is inside of it.

Finally, let go of the bubble and see it floating off into the universe. This symbolises the “letting go” stage of manifestation. As you do so you should feel free and confident that you will manifest exactly what you want.

The bubble in this scenario is pink because it resonates with the energy of the heart. This is one of the highest vibrations in the universe. Pairing it with visualisation will manifest miracles beyond your wildest dreams.

Try the pink bubble technique for yourself to see how powerful it is.

Paint Your Visualisation

Combining one creative activity with another is a recipe for success. By taking a few moments to paint what you are visualising, the experience can become even more powerful and meaningful. If you have an idea that you are looking to bring to life, try using painting as a tool.

Pick the colours you feel will best represent the outcome and start to sketch out your vision. Take your time and enjoy the process, remembering that each stroke of the brush brings you one step closer to manifesting your dreams.

A fantastic example of the power of painting is seen in the film The Secret when Marie Diamond, a Feng Shui consultant, helps her client, a famous film producer, to manifest love through this creative process.

He had painted images of a naked woman draped in fabric whose body was turned away as though she was disinterested. It was because of these paintings that the film producer struggled to attract romance into his life. This is because he had put his creation and creativity into the images that had manifested in his reality.

He then set an intention of dating three women a week and was therefore tasked with painting himself with three women and hanging the picture in every corner of his living space.

Six months later he shared that his love life had blossomed. He had gone from having no one to multiple women wanting to date him. However, his focus had now shifted to finding the right woman to settle down with rather than entertaining casual flings. Again, he was tasked with painting the reality that he wanted. He then painted a beautiful romantic relationship. A year later, he was married and very happy.

Visualisation and Affirmations

A blend of affirmations and visualisation is the perfect marriage for manifestations. Affirmations are positive statements that when recited regularly help you to foster a sense of empowerment and it influences your subconscious mind. As the affirmations shift your belief system you will then begin to manifest what you are affirming.

Affirmations are powerful because they help to remind us of our power and potential. They set our intentions and help to keep us focused on the goal we are striving for. Visualisations bring a level of clarity and focus to affirmations, and when you use them together you boost your manifestation power tenfold.

The most efficient way of using them is to recite affirmations while you are visualising your ideal life. As you close your eyes and picture yourself experiencing what you want to manifest, you can speak your affirmations out loud or in your mind.

These affirmations must be relevant to what you are visualising. For example, if you are visualising your business attracting more clients you would recite affirmations such as;

I am so grateful for the new business I have attracted

I am a magnet for business opportunities

Every day, people ask to work with me

This adds another level of power to your manifestation practice and will help you to shift your energy and manifest the things that you want. You will soon find that this practice will help to make you feel more connected to your goals and yourself. Affirmations and visualisation together are an incredible way to help you manifest what you desire in life.

Vision Boards

Vision boards can be used to visualise one’s goals and aspirations. It is a collection of images and words that represent what one wants to achieve.

By looking at the vision board, it helps us stay motivated and focused on our goals. It also encourages creative thinking, because we are actively engaging with the pictures in a positive way.

Furthermore, through regular contemplation of the images on the vision board, it helps to reinforce and remind us of the intention we set. With regular practice and visualisation, we can create positive changes in our lives.

Vision boards are a great tool to help bring clarity and focus to our aspirations. Using a vision board can be such an empowering way to help you manifest your desires.

Plus, when you are creating your vision board you are utilising your creative energy and infusing it with positive vibrations.

Start by imagining what you would like to achieve and come up with a plan to help make it happen. Cut out images, quotes and words that represent your desired outcome and use them to decorate your board.

You can even use colours that have special meanings to you or pick certain affirmations to help you stay focused.

The beauty of vision boards is that you can use them anywhere, anytime. Keep it somewhere you will see it often and take the time to look at it every day.

Take in the images, reflect upon and feel them as this will help to manifest your desires with ease and grace. You can also add photographs from magazines or your own personal photos. The sky’s the limit!

Creative Visualisation: Create an oasis

Create an Oasis

Visualisation can be used to raise your vibration and align yourself with a higher frequency of energy. By focusing on positive images and feelings, we can begin to transition our inner state from one of resistance to one of acceptance and flow.

This higher vibration can help us to become more open to the abundance of life that awaits us, bringing us into alignment. From this state, we can easily manifest our desires.

One way that visualisation can be used in this way is to create an “oasis” or a “happy place” within your mind. It provides you with a mental place that you can escape to whenever you need to recharge and raise your vibration.

To create an oasis you need to understand what makes you happy. Maybe it’s being in the mountains in Autumn or running through a meadow full of wildflowers.

Create an image of a place that makes you feel good and replicate it in your mind. You can make somewhere up or you can refer back to a place you’ve already visited.

To amp up its manifestation power you can add extra details that add to the experience. For example, if the sounds of running water lift your spirits add a babbling brook to your visualisation.

Make it your wonderland, a place that is your very definition of perfection. This is a great way to raise your vibration and prime you for manifesting your dreams.

Tantalise Your Senses

As mentioned earlier, using your senses when visualising can take it to the next level. You need to use your five senses to create an emotional connection between your visualisation and yourself.

Feel it. See it. Hear it. Touch it. Taste it.

Your feelings will be stronger when you use all your senses, as it gives you a sense of presence and realism with your visualisation.

The more senses that you use the more real it will feel. For example, when you visualise travelling and visiting a beach smell the salty air, hear the waves crashing against the shore and feel the sand against your feet.

Feel yourself transcend from your current reality and into the environment that you are envisioning. Focus on the textures that surround you and bring your vision to life! As you do this your visualisation will become more powerful and immersive.
